Dallas, TX, June 9, 1999 - Zephyrus Software today announced the immediate availability of AlertView™, version 1.1, a Java based, cross-platform application for viewing and analyzing Oracle™ alert logs.
AlertView is the first tool to simplify the monitoring of Oracle alert logs. It can be downloaded for free from the Zephyrus Software web site at http://www.zephyrus.com
AlertView opens an alert log file, parses it into individual events, categorized them and creates a tree view. The user expands or collapses nodes in the tree to display or hide individual events. Selecting an event displays the full event text in a second window.
Features new to version 1.1 include:
- Network support (open a remote file)
